The One with March 2022

Birthday month highlights!

We ate pancakes for Mardi Gras and for Lent I decided to give up buying books.

With all the money saved from not buying books I bought a new (to me) car. Welcome to the era of Felicia Forester. A special thanks to my parents for their help with this birthday present and a big thanks to CarMax for making the process so quick and easy.

Even with no book buying, March was still a book-heavy month. Felicia took us to Sundance Ranch KC where a friend and I had a successful first Bookcation. There was reading, there was napping, there was birthday cake, and there were birthday cocktails.

There was lots of other reading time too, of course.

I’m fairly certain I touched every book I own in March because I bought a new desk and had to move the bookcase. The bookcase that is strapped to the wall. It was all worth it because the new desk has given my workspace quite the facelift.

There were family game nights in March.

There was lots of pup time, including our first walk to the park this year.

There were Narnia game nights.

There were soccer nights.

There were hockey nights.

Birthday month ended with lake time with the pups and pizza and ice cream with my parents.

“You, my dear, are still in the production stage of your movie. Make it riveting! Make every scene sizzle! When it comes time to watch the movie of your life, may tears run down your face, may you scream with laughter and cringe with embarrassment. But for Goddess’s sake, do not let your life story be one that’s so dull you fall asleep during the viewing. -Lori Nelson, The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany.

Here’s to making memories that sizzle!
