Seclusion Series: The One with Queenie’s Adoptiversary

While still on my social media hiatus we celebrated Queenie’s one year adoption day. We opted for a walk to the park in order to celebrate while still practicing “social distancing”. Our Queen has had quite the year with us and has learned a lot from all of us. She continues to show off how comfortable she is by yawning in all the photos. Enjoy all the proof...

She does other things besides yawning all the time too. She loves to play and snuggle.

Most of all, I’m happy that these two have become such good buddies.

It was no foolish thing to adopt her on April first. Here’s to man’s best friend and contented yawns.

Seclusion Series: The One with My Birthday

It became clear early into quarantine that I would be spending my birthday at home. Due to my social media hiatus and the “safe at home” orders I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging the day turned out to be. I had a gloriously slow day reflecting and virtually connecting.

I was gifted presents in bed.

I had a picnic in the backyard.

I watched old home videos over FaceTime with my parents.

I had a Zoom party that friends and family from both Missouri and Colorado joined.

I ended the day with a fire in the backyard.

Cheers to quarantine birthdays!
