The One with February 2022

 While the heaviness of the world is constant, all 28 days of February were a little different. 

There were curly hair days.

There were snowy days filled with snow ice cream and snow ice cream shakes.

There were sunny days filled with booze, books, food trucks, and friends. 

There were cold days filled with booze, brunch, and books. 

And random days filled with random FaceTime book clubs. 

There were delicious snacking days. 

There was Valentine’s Day which was filled with true crime documentaries. 

There were game days. 

There were lazy dog days.

The One with January 2022

 January was a quiet month. There was lots of staying in which was plenty of time for rest and reflection.

There was the Harry Potter reunion!

There were so many books!

I signed up for a 2022 bookstore challenge and made my first stop/purchase. 

Family Book Club met virtually to discuss Just Mercy. 

There was lots of intense Chiefs footballing, but just not enough. 

There was many much pup cuddling. 

And, thanks to Pillsbury, there were Lisa Frank cookies!

Here’s to finding joy in the little things.
